Mega Tunnel, Bangkok

The Mega Tunnel, Bangkok project, commissioned by the Drainage and Sewage Department of Bangkok Metropolitan Administration and constructed by Sino-Thai Engineering & Construction, involved comprehensive BIM coordination and production services for a giant drainage tunnel infrastructure. The tunnel features a 5-meter diameter extending 9.4 kilometers at a depth of 30 meters, starting from Bueng Nong Bon and connecting to the Chao Phraya River through seven drainage stations, designed to increase drainage efficiency over approximately 85 square kilometers covering Prawet, Suan Luang, Phra Khanong, and Bang Na districts. Our team delivered detailed 3D Revit models at LOD300 for the Architectural discipline, along with high-fidelity Structural models featuring detailed reinforcement steel (rebar) modeling within the tunnel segments and related structures during the construction stage, using Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD.
